Can I please add a Found Ferret ad to your website?
He is a large albino Ferret found near Tesco’s in Rickmansworth Herts yesterday afternoon. He seems healthy and happy. I believe from the marks on his neck he’s used to being kept with other Ferrets.

Whilst cleaning out my horse the other day i found an albino ferret sniffing around the chicken coop. It was very tame and let me pick him up and hold him and stroke him so I assumed he wasn't wild. I have taken home and put it in an old rabbit hutch with a water bottle and some cat food, I'm unsure that he's eating properly but I've contacted the rspca and several other organisations, basically I'd really appreciate it if you could list him found on your site as an albino ferret, sex unknown, found in dagworth, near haughley/old newton/stowmarket in suffolk two days agoe.

Hi, I lost three ferrets in Swanley on the 20th April after the person caring for them whilst I was on holiday left the hutch door open. One was found and collected, I believe the rspca may have one and I am in contact with them, which still leaves one missing. He is white, red eyed, castrated and very friendly. I hope you can help me in my quest.

I am very pleased to report that thanks to your advice our ferret Ben has returned home, but there is a tale to tell and thought you might be interested to hear it.
My daughter, her boyfriend and myself had searched everywhere possible in my garden, her boyfriend went to all the households that back onto our garden, with the promise that the neighbours would look out for him.
Now the reason that he escaped in the first place is that Ben and his playmate Jerry's temporary home had a hook and eye catch to their main door and not a bolt. Somehow through there play we assumed that they had shaken the door and the catch had come undone. Their door had only been open for about 5 minutes as they had obviously frightened my cats who flew through the cat flap, On finding out what the commodtion was about I discovered Jerry happily wondering around on the patio but Ben nowhere to been seen. We use a cat basket to transport Ben and Jerry about in ,so this was ideal to use together with the suggested mince on a saucer placed inside it. We then placed the basket half way under their house.
This morning on looking out of the window I saw the saucer was upside down outside the basket. Calling to my daughter, we assumed that it may have been a cat or hedgehog. Going outside to check, my daughter was shocked to see the door open again but only slightly this time ( after ensuring last night the latch was closed). We assumed the worst that Jerry would also now be missing. So she looked into their cosy sleeping quarters and to her suprise she found that Jerry was sound asleep and to her utter amazement there was Ben sound asleep with him.
So not only did he come home, he let himself in as well. I knew that ferrets can be clever but not this clever. Of course everyone is now very happy and needless to same we have now purchased a bolt to replace the latch until their new home is ready.

I’m pretty sure a ferret has appeared in my back garden in the last 24 hours – pic attached. I live in Tytherington, Macclesfield (Cheshire), quite close to open country side with badger sets and the like.
I have sought advice from my vets (we have 3 cats) but they don’t appear to have a local contact. I don’t know if it’s domesticated or wild, but I’m very keen to repatriate it with its owner, and on a personal note, get the cats back outside!

I could do with some advice. I brown ferret with cream face comes into our garden every night. We'd like to catch it and find its owner, as my daughters rabbit lives in the garden. Currently the ferret is more interested in getting into our shed and eating the mice that have got caught in the traps. I'm worried about the ferret hurting itself and how to catch it.
This ferret is roaming around Poynton, Cheshire.

Ferret went missing on 20th March 2008
My son's ferrets got out overnight last night in Bala, North Wales. We only noticed at 8 o clock this morning. The female was found in our garden and came straight to us from hiding. We have searched all day for the male. We are extremely worried as he's never been loose before and we are in an area with lots of cats (what are the survival chances with a cat?). He is a large brown hob, not quite a year old yet. He's quite tame. Any sightings would be a blessing.

Seen in Port Talbot
I live in Port Talbot, South Wales and returning home at 1.30am 1st/2nd March saw a ferret (white - assume this is an albino ferret) emerge from a lane and scurry under a parked car.I wasn't entirely sure what I had seen so approached the car and the ferret emerged to look at me. I rubbed my fingers together and called and the ferret followed me almost to my gate before seeming frightened and running off up the lane from which it emerged. The lane is at the top of Vaughan Close to the rear of New Street - Port Talbot

Found an albino ferret living in the loft of my house in St.Helens, Lancs. We have been hearing scurrying in the loft for a few weeks and thinking it might be mice we borrowed my mother in laws cat to put up there. However, a ferret popped his head out of the eves. So we sent the cat back to the mother in laws and ‘Duggie’ the ferret is still up there. It has been spotted a number of times around the neighbourhood for possibly 6 weeks or more. If anyone has lost him / her in the St. Helens / Burtonwood area they can come and catch him/her back.

It is probably very local and only recently lost. This ferrets is believed to be a Polecat coloured ferret, with light face markings and dark body some distinktive markings that the owner should be able to identify

Just in case someone contacts you regarding a lost ferret. I thought I would drop you a line to say that I found one this morning on the way to work, (about 4 miles from Wheddon Cross and 12 miles outside Taunton) it seemed quite tame and allowed me to pick it up, so I took it to the West Hatch RSPCA Centre in Taunton. It was whitish with flecks of black and it was male (according to the RSPCA inspector).
